Diego Casco

Diego Casco, R.G.D., President and Creative Director

Respected in both his field and his community, Diego often speaks at networking and professional development events, where he shares his business experience and thoughts on design. His active involvement with RGD Ontario ignited a Firm Owner initiative, where discussions about the business of design take place. He regularly leads Design and Marketing seminars at the Learning Enhancement Centre and volunteers his expertise to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Diego has been in the graphic design and communications industry since 1994. In 2002, he founded Casco Design and Communications. He has since built a team of talented designers and strategic thinkers, and continues to expand their portfolio of great work for including award winning corporate identities, advertising, signage and websites for government and private entities.

Diego is honoured by the inclusion of Casco Design in the RGD Ontario Studio Tours on August 26, 2010. To be introduced by the RGD in their invitation to the event as “… (one of) Toronto’s top design studios.” is a source of pride not only for Diego, but also the studio as a whole.

Bina Chaudhari

Bina Chaudhari, Administration Assistant

Bina joined the Casco Design team as our administrator in late 2009 and progressed to adding Project Management to her responsibilities in late 2010. She developed her skills both in practice here and by studying accounting at Sheridan College, following two years studying Business Administration at Humber College.

Bina’s duties include allocating team resources and monitoring work, managing projects and milestones; preparing and maintaining files and correspondence; scheduling and preparing meetings with clients, plus follow-ups, invoicing, and other elements of client account management. She also provides support in the areas of office management and accounting where her organizational skills help keep the studio running at peak efficiency.

She also has a certificate as a first level yoga instructor from Lakulish Yoga Vidyalaya, from Gujarat Province, India and understands the value of balance in any process.

Lauren Boyce

Lauren Boyce, Graphic Designer

Lauren has a degree in Graphic Design from James Madison University and joined our team in early 2010. Prior to coming to work at Casco, Lauren interned at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, a non-profit arts organization in Vienna, Virginia, and the only National Park for the Performing Arts in the country. While at Wolf Trap, Lauren developed corporate identity assignments as well as creating marketing materials for the foundation.

Lauren is an analytical and creative thinker. Her talent for creating clever logical solutions to challenging design issues makes her as valuable team member to Casco Design. Organizing and prioritizing are qualities that Lauren contributes in all projects she is involved in.

She is also a fiber artist and her skill in the strategic nature of this art contributes greatly to her adeptness in developing design solutions that work. We feel very fortunate to have discovered Lauren at this stage of her career.

Luz G. Alvarez

Luz G. Alvarez, Client Services

Luz Gabriela Alvarez was born and grew up in Caracas, Venezuela. She studied marketing and advertising at the Institute of Management and Technology. After completion of these studies, she earned a BA in advertising at the Alejandro Humboldt University in Caracas. In August 2009, Luz Gabriela came to Toronto and completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Strategic Relationship Marketing at George Brown College.

As marketing specialist, Luz Gabriela has extensive expertise as a coordinator, assistant and supervisor in multiple business and operational areas. Luz Gabriela brings the broad experience she gained in major corporations throughout her professional development to Casco Design. She believes “A leader is one who can inspire others with a dream”.

Sebastian Galindo

Sebastian Galindo, Web Developer

Sebastian is a graduate from the Web Development Program at Humber College. He joined the Casco Design team early 2011. Sebastian has a background in computer programming, and as a web developer he has knowledge of PHP and ASP development technologies, as well as Drupal and WordPress CMS, database administration, UNIX and Linux Operational systems.

Slava Motovilov

Slava Motovilov, Graphic Designer

Slava joined the Casco Design team as an intern shortly after graduating from the reputable York/Sheridan Graphic Design program in early 2010 with a Bachelor of Design. After working with Casco for six months, Slava sought to add to his value by gaining International experience in his profession, embarking on a four month adventure living in the UK.

While in the UK, Slava began an internship at EcoSwitch, an environmental portal, where he worked on projects dealing with visual identity design, illustration, photography, and web design, proving his value as readily there as he did here at Casco. Slava left EcoSwitch to return to Casco Design in early 2011.

Slava’s approach to design is informed by his extracurricular passions, bicycle trials, road cycling, as well as auto racing. It is this approach to activities involving the taking of measured risks that allows his design to explore new and original avenues.
