Bluesky Promotional Material

Objective: To strengthen and refresh BlueSky’s brand by creating a cohesive identity system for their sub-brands and a promotional template that complements and extends their existing logo.

Target Audience: Engineering professionals in the oil, gas, energy, mining and chemical industries.

Concept: “Creating open ‘BlueSky’ environments, enhancing our clients’ productivity, through our brand and products.”

Challenges: Striking a balance between image and text to engage the target audience, while avoiding the introduction of extraneous elements that might compromise the consistency of the brand.

Overview: Our work for BlueSky, an engineering company specializing in piping solutions for diverse industries, began by conducting a situation analysis to fully understand their services and products, target markets, positioning, strengths and opportunities. Based on our findings, we created a strategic marketing plan to propel the company to new heights.

Given the extensive use and familiarity of BlueSky’s brand in the marketplace, we focused on strengthening their identity, rather than on re-designing it. Our solution highlights their existing logo with a series of complementary product and service logos we developed, each featuring the iconic BlueSky flag. To illustrate scenarios where their products are used, we also created themed photomontages to be applied to brochures, banners and other collateral for trade shows.

To ensure the consistent application of the new style in the future, we developed a detailed brand guide. This document articulates specific rules of usage of their various brand elements, including a new naming convention for their products and services.

Outcome: BlueSky’s new look utilizes a contemporary, simplified and bold layout, with just the bare essentials. The persuasive wording and striking photographs work synergistically to create a memorable experience for the customer that can inform, sell and advertise BlueSky’s multiple products and services while retaining a unified look and feel.
